Your First Visit to our Miami Office

TreatmentConsultation

The purpose of our initial consultation is so we can get to know each other.

We Listen

During a brief conversation and review of your health history, we try to determine if you’re a good candidate for chiropractic care. We’ll ask a few questions and do a lot of listening.

A Partnership

The consultation also gives you an opportunity to tour our office, interview Dr. Starkman and learn a bit more about our approach to chiropractic. Since chiropractic is a partnership approach to better health, it’s important that you’re comfortable with the personalities, procedures and policies of our office. Our complimentary consultation is a great way to find that out.

The Next Step

If we don’t think we can help, we’ll tell you. If we think we can, and you agree, we can usually proceed to the next step, which is a thorough examination.

ExaminationExamination

If our consultation suggests that you’d likely be helped with chiropractic care, we’ll need to perform a complete examination. This includes:

Postural Evaluation

Identifies spinal distortions and stress patterns, long term subluxation adaptations, structural weakness, and muscle imbalance. Muscle Testing locates areas of nerve interference and muscle weakness.

The AcuGraph Digital Meridian Imaging Scan™

This system is a computerized tool used to analyze and document the energetic status of the acupuncture meridians. Your healthcare practitioner will use the system in a short examination by touching a moistened probe to acupuncture points on your hands and feet. Read more…

X-Ray

Diagnostic imaging can help locate any bone abnormalities, fractures and reveal your spine’s phase of spinal decay. If x-rays are necessary, you will be referred to a nearby specialist.

 Treatment

If the doctor feels he can help you and should you decide to begin care that day, you will be given your first adjustment and any therapies that may be necessary. Treatment is interactive, so you can express any concerns you may have regarding different styles of treatment. For information on our spinal adjustment techniques please click here.
